A Wonderful Family Tradition

This was a photo shoot taken with a Japanese-American family and their 3 year old daughter Maya.  It's a Japanese tradition that photos are taken of children when they are 3, 5, and 7 years old.  We had lot's of fun together on our afternoon in Central Park.  You can tell that the family is really close.  There is a lovely bond between Maya and her father which is precious to watch and capture on film.  Maya's mom is great.  She's playful, serious, loving and kind.  Everything a mother should be.

"Just as the bubbles grow and float away on their own path, so too will Maya but she'll always be their darling one."

"Those special moments when a family is content and happy."

"What are you pondering Maya?  What an amazing path life has in store for you.  Enjoy!"
